About this Blog

International Studies Academy is a small, intimate learning community in which close relationships develop among the students, faculty, and parents and the values of cooperation, caring and creativity are emphasized. The school’s primary mission is to provide a rigorous course of study in a multicultural environment where the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to live in a global community are promoted. Emphasis at the Academy is placed on an intensive study of foreign languages, international relations, and Social Sciences. Students during their years at ISA will participate broadly in the community and learn how the San Francisco Bay Area is related to the larger global community. The school goals are expressed in the form of Expected School Wide Learning Results (ESLR\'s). Graduates of International Studies Academy are expected to: * exhibit the qualities of a responsible, global citizen * communicate effectively in English and another language * think creatively and critically * gather, evaluate and organize information from a variety of sources * work independently and collaboratively InternationalStudiesAcademy.org is NOT the official web site of I.S.A. but we hope that it will become a useful link for students, parents and the I.S.A. staff.
